Looking for a wealth of green knowledge? The UNLA Green Conference for 2024 is happening January 22, 23, and 24 at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy, Utah. Various tracks include Design, Landscape, Arboriculture, Irrigation, Turf, and Green House/Garden Center.
A member of our team will be speaking the last day of the conference in the Design Track. Her name is Sandy Vernon. Her topic, “Planting is Changing, Exploring Plant Communities.”
Sandy has been with us for over 5 years. She has degrees in Ornamental Horticulture and Residential Landscape Design and Construction from Utah State University. She is certified in Qwel, is a Utah Certified Nursery Professional and an ISA certified arborist. She is our “go-to” for all things plants.
With all these qualifications, she still considers herself a gardener at heart and appreciates the time she gets to spend in her own garden. Her yard has been converted to a LocalScape with ongoing experiments in drought tolerant plants. She teaches classes for Central Utah Water Conservancy District and USU’s Master Gardener Design Class in Utah County, she has also taught an Ornamental Grasses Class at BYU the past three years.
If you are interested in having Sandy work with you, please give us a call or send us an email. We’d love to help you.
